Study on Effect of High-Entropy Alloy Binder on Microstructure and Properties of WC Cemented Carbide Doped with Rare Earth Oxide

The AlCoCrFeNi powder was added to WC as a binder and Y2O3/ZrO2 doped by the wet chemical method grain-growth inhibitors. WC-Y2O3-ZrO2-10AlCoCrFeNi composite powders were sintered spark plasma sintering obtain an alloy. microstructure properties of cemented carbide studied. result showed that rare-earth-oxide (Y2O3/ZrO2)-refined grain size alloy high-entropy provided with better hardness toughness. diffused slowly between grains because delayed diffusion effect Cr having low affinity for matrix. During dynamic process particles’ dissolution precipitation growth, Fe, Co, Ni had matrix distributed more smoothly, which increased strength toughness When temperature SPS 1250 °C, best properties, Vickers 1888.14 HV fracture 14.76 MPa·m1/2.
